Responsible Gambling Awareness Day
The Gaming industry has today shown it’s support for Responsible Gambling Awareness Day. Launched at the Annual GamCare conference on 19th October 2009, the day will highlight the need for sensible gaming and the measures the industry takes to support customers and help them make sensible choices.
Almost 70% of the UK population has gambled in the past year, and the UK also has one of the lowest incidences of problem gambling anywhere in the world.
The campaign will feature around 3 main messages pictured below; Know when to keep your head above water, Know when to walk away, and Ask for help.
Clive Hawkswood of the Remote Gambling Association said, “Responsible Gambling Awareness Day is about reminding everyone involved, especially customers, about the need to gamble responsibly; to showcase the industry’s ongoing efforts in this area and to do our best to ensure that we keep our gambling safe and enjoyable.”
