Unlawful Internet Gambling Update: 2 April
As a provider of customer age verification and ID check solutions to gaming operators, we understand that many of our customers will be closely following the hearing to discuss proposed regulations to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA).
On 2nd April, Congress heard expert testimony offering further evidence that a ban on Internet Gambling would be unworkable. As well as affecting Gaming providers, it was argued that U.S. financial services would also face serious regulatory burdens in trying to enforce the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (UIGEA).
