192business are pleased to announce that this year we have released the Electoral Roll 2009 data into our ID checking solution earlier than ever before. 192business have now released 80% of the Electoral Roll 2009, with the remainder due to be added shortly.
The 2009 Electoral Roll allows you access to an extra 22 million records, 3.5 million of which do not appear in any previous years. The Electoral Roll is the largest and most comprehensive database in the UK for names and addresses, covering approximately 70% of the UK population.
192business hold over 270 million Electoral Roll records, and host data from as far back as 2001. We hold the full Electoral Rolls for 2001 and 2002 and edited Electoral Roll Data from 2003-2009, allowing you to build a historical profile of your clients and obtain a higher match rate where possible.
When used in conjunction with our Prove-ID or Check-ID solutions, the Electoral Roll data will return a match 99 times out of 100 for legitimate customers, allowing you to accept customers in confidence, whilst deterring fraudsters.
The Electoral Roll is also an extremely powerful tool for tracing people, as when used as part of 192business it allows you to search using only partial or incomplete address details.
